Hanukah Crafts

This year Hanukah comes at the end of November. What is Hanukah without a Menorah and a Dreidel. Here are some ideas for some fun crafts while you talk about what Hanukah is all about. Weather or not you are Jewish or not, it is nice to explain other religious holidays. My mother always told me if you want others to respect your religious beliefs, you need to start by respecting theirs. So lets get crafty.

I like this one as it is made of left over scraps. You can use paper, clothes strips or even ribbon. It is really a nice use of our leftovers from previous crafts.

This one is an other crafty use of paper plates.

Macaroni Menorah. I know many parents that proudly wear their macaroni necklaces that their kids have made for them. Note the flame is twisted red paper, you can use some from a magazine or use red tissue paper.

Here are some Dreidel ideas. The first one is a Dreidel card idea. It can be used as decorations too.

Here are some cute decoration ideas.

I love tissue paper. just remember that you need make sure the paper does not go past the rim. You can use double back tap to secure it. It is a nice way to show off some bright colors.

I tried using pipe cleaners and and.... well they did not stay in the shape I wanted. I have seen people whip things like this out with pipe cleaners so I know that it works. I just need more practice.

Now remember what I have said about any craft, it is all about having fun and being creative. Those little imperfections that happen just gives your craft a personal touch. So have fun and be adventurous.

Happy Hanukah.
