Samhain Songs

WE GATHER ON A MIDNIGHT CLEAR

We gather on a midnight clear
To sing the songs of old
Of Spirits rising from the Earth
To touch our hearts so bold 

Fear not! On this most holy night
When veils are thin and clear
Our hearts in solemn stillness lay
To hear ancestors dear 

We lay the circle round about
With offerings of love
We know that in the darkest hour
We're blessed from up above 

Rejoice! The New Year's come again
The Wheel it spins once more
Hears full of peace and joy, we seek
The opening of new doors

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE SAMHAIN

It's beginning to look a lot like Samhain everywhere you turn
Take a look at that grove of trees They're beginning to turn their leaves
With all those fiery reds they fairly burn 

It's beginning to look a lot like Samhain everywhere it beams
With witches in windows here and bobbing for apples there
If we could only tell them what it means 

It's beginning to look a lot like Samhain Sing the ancient lore...
But the loveliest sight to see
Is the cauldron that will be by our own front door!

Dashing to the house to start the meeting right. Lilith took a nap, and so she looks a fright. The offerings are set there's wine and bread and meat Grollwynn takes one look and says "Hey, when do we eat?"

Sara worked all day, and so she falls asleep we dress her up like Cerridwen put the cauldron at her feet. Onyx can't be found a familiar hum is heard He's killing things in Doom again and so hears not a word!

At last we gather round to toast and bless and cheer. We know we've done our best through this cycle of the year. We use our voice for good in these pages that we write We thank Goddess and the God and you... and now we say goodnight!
